Cellar Door By The Sea is back for its 2022 season! Join us on Sunday, 24th April for a three-level beachside extravaganza at Henley House (SeaSalt Society, Melt Henley, and West Rooftop Bar). Bring on the party!

Our Cellar Door By The Sea series was created as an opportunity to reaffirm our friendships with our favourite South Australian wineries and to bring them to the coast for an all-day food and drink event showcasing their products against beautiful Henley Beach.

 Cellar Door By The Sea enables our guests to hear directly from the winemakers themselves as they open some bottles to share. There's no greater storyteller than an impassioned vigneron with a glass in their hand!

At our first Cellar Door By The Sea for 2022, we’ll be joined by our good friends from Fox Gordon winery and Simon Tolley Wines, as well as special guests Cut Hill Distillery. All 3 producers will be offering tastings of their wines and spirits all day long.

The event is activated through all 3 levels in Henley House and we encourage guests to roam around the different venues for a multi-level experience to try all the different offerings.

At our first Cellar Door By The Sea for 2022, we’ll be serving up Pol Roger + fresh Gazender oyster at SeaSalt Society; perfect pizza specials with Fox Gordon and Simon Tolley wine pairings at Melt Henley; and limited-edition Cut Hill Distillery cocktails and Lost Phoenix whisky tastings at West Rooftop Bar.

  • Acoustic duo Shan & Rain at Melt from 1pm

  • Live DJs spinning tunes from 3pm at West Rooftop Bar

So gather some friends for a beautiful afternoon of wonderful food, great wine, and good times at our 3 level seaside playground. Come for lunch and you’ll be here ‘til sundown.

SEASALT SOCIETY

  • Wine tastings with Ra and Sam from Fox Gordon 🍷 and Simon from Simon Tolley (simply head up to the tasting station at Melt, before, during, or after your booking at SeaSalt - just let us know!)

MELT HENLEY

  • Wine tastings with Ra and Sam from Fox Gordon 🍷 and Simon from Simon Tolley

  • Acoustic duo Shan & Rain from 1pm

  • Two special Melt pizzas 🍕 (one perfect to pair with a glass of white wine, and one designed to go with a red)

1.     Pork marinated chorizo on top of pepperoni and a romesco base with Asiago cheese, chilli and topped with fresh basil Kalamata olives and cherry tomatoes.

2.     Frutti do mare pizza with prawns, scallops and marinated Goolwa pipis on a potato a pea purée base with Fior di Latte, chilli then topped with dill and capers.

WEST ROOFTOP BAR

  • Whisky tastings by Cut Hill Distillery

  • Special Lost Phoenix Gin and Vodka cocktails

  • DJs spinning from 3pm
